SURITOS 1 - 4 Vallecas
(367449308)

17-03-2012 15.00
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 19269 that came out to
EL SURITO ESTADIUM.
Sandro Schwanck was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Marcell Westner and
Johann Wurzinger.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for SURITOS.
Starters: Felbermair - Kaczmarczyk, Falkdahl, Hartiala - Sjöholt, Erbas, Forrer, Langi, Caldas - Hohenbrunn, Nibelungen.
Vallecas decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Somonte - Frigola, Abrahamsen, Conlledo - Palomeque, Getzinger, Schmidtke, Serra, Martínez Perea - Astazi, Fornalczyk.
Vallecas mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile
I. Kaczmarczyk.
Vallecas's counterattacks created a good chance for
J. Schmidtke on the right after 25 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar.
E. Nibelungen sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
J. Sjöholt after 30 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 0.
Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Vallecas, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity.
Vallecas tied it all up, 35 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by
A. Fornalczyk, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
J. Sjöholt got himself booked. The manager of SURITOS was not happy.
H. Langi looked like he could fly, as he rose high to head the ball. Unfortunately for SURITOS, the ball went just barely wide.
Vallecas took the lead 43 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle.
J. Palomeque was the scorer.
It was 1 - 2 at the break.
SURITOS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.
M. Serra came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
K. Felbermair but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
SURITOS's
E. Nibelungen put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 52 minutes, but the ball went wide.
K. Hartiala of SURITOS was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
59 minutes into the game, Vallecas were awarded a penalty and
A. Astazi was able to increase the visitors' lead to 1 - 3 rolling the ball in by the right post.
The visitors added to their lead 60 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Vallecas's
A. Astazi slid just past the home keeper. 1 - 4.
The players of Vallecas now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 61 minute mark, SURITOS's
E. Nibelungen hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the SURITOS manager used a brief break in play after 70 minutes to give the players new directives.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by SURITOS, with 51 percent of the ball.
SURITOS's best player was
J. Forrer.
K. Hartiala was a disappointment, however.
Vallecas's top performer was clearly
A. Astazi.
However,
L. Frigola made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 4.
