Dark skies made the crowd of 34260 at LA CATEDRAL a little nervous, but the rain held off. Kaare Udesen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mihai Zamşa and Rosalino Tequila. BACAES started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. Lineup: Trávníček - Letelier, Casillas, Hippinen, Kožulj, Molins - Huben, Persan, Guitio - Korschewitz, Januário.

CSL had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Giménez Guerra - Pivovarov, Gaspar, Verdejo, Touquet - Cavard, Buenfil, Mönkkönen, Martins - Ferrugem, Yanes.

CSL displayed their ability to play creatively. With 33 minutes played T. Casillas almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. It was 0 - 0 at the break. BACAES had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

After 50 minutes, the CSL coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving F. Ferrugem off the field. P. Espar took his place. The coach of BACAES wanted to try to change things around after 60 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. Huben got himself booked. The manager of BACAES was not happy. BACAES claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

T. Hippinen performed admirably for BACAES. J. Trávníček on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating CSL player was without a doubt M. Yanes. M. Martins turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 0.
