Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 16065 to HISPALIS. FRANANA had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Claesson - Cerisier, Adams, Renicker - Oderda, Vecchi, Rostocker, Damianakos, Jas - Bergamin, Mormile.

G.T.R decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Marusa - Mogollon, Vernet, Vinkvist - Cerrada, Camell, Kitov, Brożek, Starcke - Pérez, Maciesza.

G.T.R seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. FRANANA took the lead 6 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as P. Rostocker elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. L. Oderda could have increased the lead after 7 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. FRANANA solidified their lead at the 27 minute mark, as A. Adams dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. FRANANA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

FRANANA managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when M. Mormile cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After 55 minutes, following yet another great corner, F. Brożek's flick on at the near post reached J. Mogollon, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. After 63 minutes, G.T.R switched T. Vinkvist with J. Juez, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. G. Kitov was the new captain of G.T.R - handed the armband by the departing player. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 72 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving A. Cerrada completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in FRANANA's Y. Damianakos increasing the lead to 4 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of FRANANA lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The referee showed G.T.R's F. Brożek the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Content with how the game was proceeding, the FRANANA coach let J. Vysopal replace P. Rostocker after 76 minutes. 76 minutes into the game M. Starcke could see that the opposing goalie was out of position and tried an unexpected lob that the keeper just barely reached. The rebound went to A. Cerrada who failed to hit the target. The coach of FRANANA was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 81 minutes, I. Lyalev came on for A. Vecchi. 82 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. Mormile broke through, making the score 5 - 0 for FRANANA. G.T.R reduced the lead after 84 minutes to 5 - 1 as H. Camell easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. FRANANA had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

FRANANA's top performer was clearly C. Bergamin. However, L. Oderda made a disastrous appearance. H. Camell performed admirably for G.T.R. On the other hand, M. Pérez's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 1.
