A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 21000 to periquitus Arena. Bence Boczkó was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jerardo Villegas and Lind Aliti. periquitus decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. Puteros seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. A. Köstli came close to putting the visiting team one up 9 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but B. Gagelmann managed to tip the ball to a corner. Puteros took the lead 13 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. A. Alves was the scorer. Puteros players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. A. Desbach showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for periquitus after 26 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. After 35 minutes periquitus's O. Gänsicke contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to A. Desbach, but the periquitus player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! periquitus solidified their lead at the 39 minute mark, as A. Van Bourgognie dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. It was 3 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by periquitus, with 58 percent of the ball.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. R. Ghalmi squirmed through their central defence after 47 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. After this, you could see that the players of periquitus were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After 48 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by A. Desbach might have resulted in another goal for periquitus. However, G. Nicole made a spectacular save. B. Gagelmann made a brilliant save 59 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from M. Braconnier on the right hand side. It wasn't a good day at all for M. Braconnier. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Coming from the right, M. Rico almost managed to score another goal for periquitus, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. With 68 minutes played, periquitus put themselves up 5 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to R. Ghalmi, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The coach of periquitus was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, C. Rusu came on for R. Ghalmi. Content with how the game was proceeding, the periquitus coach let A. Tazi replace C. Paulin after 80 minutes. A. Desbach wanted to play on, but the periquitus coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 81 minutes into the game by L. San Miguel Blanco. periquitus had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

M. Rico performed admirably for periquitus. A. Tazi turned in a dismal performance, however. Puteros's top performer was clearly A. Alves. J. Borrego was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
