Puteros had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 25 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when C. Montinaro tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. Puteros's A. Alves got himself booked for a foul. Puteros levelled the score after 30 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as A. Alves struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. 34 minutes into the game, A. Gyllenland had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came D. Krašna. B. Gottstein behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 43 minutes as he gave the ball away to R. Rosales. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. M. Braconnier had a good opportunity to give Puteros the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Puteros, with 53 percent of the ball.

Puteros's A. Köstli could have put the guests one up after 48 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but É. Vidigal was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. XERMAÑA's F. Lecaroz was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 54 minutes. As the 61 minute mark approached, the XERMAÑA coach decided it was time for a substitution. G. Huici reluctantly made way for A. Kornatka on the pitch. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. Montinaro from Puteros a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 68 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 70 minutes into the game, XERMAÑA wanted to bring some new energy to their game. H. Crespo gave W. Woldering a quick hug as he left the field. Attacking on the wings was the choice for XERMAÑA, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. With 74 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as R. Karstensson flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. XERMAÑA solidified their lead at the 77 minute mark, as A. Kornatka dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. By now, the players in XERMAÑA felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. It was a fine day for R. Rosales on his wing, his cross pass to A. Köstli was especially delicate 79 minutes into the game, but the keeper saved. It was obvious that XERMAÑA had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. XERMAÑA put themselves up 4 - 1 when W. Woldering broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. A bit later, Puteros's A. Köstli easily reduced the lead to 4 - 2 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. Puteros claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Most important XERMAÑA player was F. Lecaroz. J. Martin on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Puteros player was without a doubt A. Alves. However, D. Krašna made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 2.
