Dark skies made the crowd of 21500 at Sexy Madafaka a little nervous, but the rain held off. Starters: Girona - Montalvo, Inchurandieta, Urturi - Beljaars, Chantraine, Falkenander, Van Hasselt - Bazalar, Isqueiro, Lasa.

PeLuCoNeS decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. They fielded: Barabaschi - Pszczoliński, Nikulnikov, Joors, Falempin - Berzal, Korff, Joseph, Raemdonck, Kaplinski - Nadler-Netopil.

The strategy for PeLuCoNeS was to use their ability to press. Making his way up the middle 3 minutes into the match, I. Lasa almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert S. Barabaschi blocked it to keep the score level. llunor made it 1 - 0 as E. Bazalar got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to D. Chantraine who whipped a low drive in off the far post. Cheers filled the stadium as E. After 37 minutes llunor's J. Montalvo limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. T. Van Hasselt should probably have put his team up another goal after 40 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by S. Barabaschi kept the visitors in the game. It was 2 - 0 at the break. llunor had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Coming from the right, I. Lasa almost managed to score another goal for llunor, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. llunor managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when E. Bazalar cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The players of llunor now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The llunor free kick 75 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of E. Bazalar, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 4 - 0! That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for E. Bazalar. llunor will have to do without J. Montalvo for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 80 minute mark. He was substituted by P. Pérez Garzón. llunor enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Most important llunor player was E. Bazalar. However, T. Van Hasselt made a disastrous appearance. A. Joors performed admirably for PeLuCoNeS. F. Falempin turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
