Clear skies welcomed the 19572 spectators who had made their way to S.BERNABEU. Rodney de Campos was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Eddie Högskog and José Carlos Hancco. HERRADOR.F.C started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Gasulla - van Kuppeveld, Beránek, Szutowicz - Zuhur, Le Boulanger, Schmalensee, Rocha Ribeiro, Čecháček - Baiña, San Martín.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Taxis. They fielded: Deibel - Villalambrus, Everaert, Pino - Vera, Buruiană, Cardenal, Skopek - Idirin, Castro, Coscollola.

The wings were the focus of most of HERRADOR.F.C's attacks today. Taxis clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. HERRADOR.F.C broke through on the left 32 minutes into the game, with F. San Martín firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. The visitors didn't give in and, after 41 minutes, B. Skopek got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 43 minutes into the match left Taxis's J. Pino completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 43 minutes gave HERRADOR.F.C a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and D. Beránek stepped up to the challenge. 2 - 2 It was 2 - 2 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Taxis, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

Taxis took the lead 50 minutes into the game, making the score 2 - 3 after some elegant movement down the middle. D. Idirin was the scorer. Taxis's J. Vera made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 59 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. After 67 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for J. Pino who increased Taxis's lead to 2 - 4. 68 minutes into the match, HERRADOR.F.C's F. San Martín popped up from nowhere, cheekily stole the ball off an opposition player and scored. 3 - 4. It was obvious that HERRADOR.F.C had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. No matter how hard he tried, X. Baiña just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 75 minutes. The visitors added to their lead 79 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Taxis's A. Everaert slid just past the home keeper. 3 - 5. Confident in their lead, Taxis's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Taxis's B. Skopek somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for T. Coscollola, who struck for 3 - 6. Taxis enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

HERRADOR.F.C's top performer was clearly F. San Martín. A. Gasulla on the other hand, had a terrible day. J. Cardenal performed admirably for Taxis. J. Pino was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 6.
