The home crowd was not impressed when E. Oia came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 29 minutes. Serpientes were now up 0 - 3. C. Masa of Serpientes took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 34 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. Serpientes had most of the ball, with 85 percent of possession.

One of many good crosses from D. Irurreta on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by C. Quijada, who scored for Panzers. 1 - 4 The home crowd cheered when, after 67 minutes, G. Groppo's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. The Serpientes players could smell victory in the air. R. Nefs wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for R. Fernández Bea after 70 minutes. The sunny day didn't make things easy for E. Oia who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Serpientes coach let A. Vlădău replace E. Roossien after 80 minutes. A penalty was awarded after 82 minutes, and C. Masa made the most of his chance to put Serpientes up by another goal. 1 - 5 for the visitors. Serpientes increased their lead after 86 minutes when E. Oia broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 6, much to the home crowd's dismay. By now, the players in Serpientes felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The visitors' Á. Madariaga took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 88 minutes into the match. 1 - 7 for Serpientes.
