Dark skies made the crowd of 12951 at Ramirez Stadium a little nervous, but the rain held off. Albin Loustau was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Siro Bortoluzzi and Manuel González. Fontanellas had a fantastic opportunity to put Ramirez up another goal 31 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Ramirez solidified their lead at the 33 minute mark, as A. Alba dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. The home team's fans were upset when, after 36 minutes, the visiting D. Fernhout broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 2 - 1 was the score. Juniors's J. Skogsrud got himself booked for a foul. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Juniors's V. Pollicino put the ball in the onion bag after 39 minutes to make it 2 - 2. 44 minutes into the game, E. Vercesi had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came S. Hirsch. It was 2 - 2 at the break. Ramirez had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

A. Rousseau gave Ramirez the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 3 - 2 50 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as T. Tessaro-Eggerstorfer broke through, making the score 4 - 2 for Ramirez. After this, you could see that the players of Ramirez were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. With 63 minutes played, S. Hirsch had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. Juniors needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 67 minutes V. Goethals made way for A. Ciya. With 73 minutes played, the Juniors coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. A. Isarre came on, A. Ovando Solis had to leave the fray. When A. Ciya was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 79 minutes, Juniors fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution. The referee showed Juniors's S. Hirsch the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Ramirez's T. Tessaro-Eggerstorfer went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. Ramirez increased the lead as D. Oželis struck to make the score 5 - 2 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Juniors claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

Ramirez's best player was V. Sáez Oliván. On the other hand, G. Orrit's play was disheartening. Most important Juniors player was J. Skogsrud. F. Picchi was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 2.
