21-04-2012 15.45
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 11206 to
stadium azuara.
Daniel Poyet was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jonathan Baldwin and
Rüzgar Günbey.
azuara decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
They fielded: Lambré - Johansen, Gheorghe, Coniad, Paauwe - Yssing Hansen, Szmajdziński, Barias, Barrau - Grebenhain, Fiorito.
Alicante had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Veşa - Mižigar, Cegliński, Parikka - Alleaume, Wiedelt, Dwiki, Serģis-Rasmanis, Echandia - Aabye-Hansen, Valanne.
Alicante demonstrated their creative tactics on the field.
azuara took the lead 6 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
M. Grebenhain elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
15 minutes into the game Alicante's
J. Cegliński found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1.
With 20 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as
P. Fiorito flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 27 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when
C. Alleaume tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper.
2 - 1 was the halftime score.
Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.
azuara's
K. Yssing Hansen was shown a yellow card after 49 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Unfortunately for Alicante,

P. Fiorito broke through, making the score 3 - 1 for azuara.

N. Rolff came on,
A. Echandia had to leave the fray.
79 minutes in, Alicante's
N. Rolff received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
A loud groan was heard from the fans of azuara, as
L. Johansen left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
J. Hooyenga took his place on the field.
azuara's
P. Szmajdziński increased the lead to 4 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 83 minutes.
After this, you could see that the players of azuara were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
After 84 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as azuara found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
solid.
M. Grebenhain should probably have put his team up another goal after 88 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
C. Veşa kept the visitors in the game.
89 minutes into the game, azuara had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
passable.
azuara had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.
Most important azuara player was
M. Grebenhain.
J. Hooyenga turned in a dismal performance, however.
M. Aabye-Hansen performed admirably for Alicante.
However,
S. Dwiki made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 4 - 1.
