The 8392 spectators at
RCDE DANI JARQUE Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Xavi Amézaga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Hacı İlyas Mahsun and
Rudy Barnas.
JARQUE started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Starters: Latorre - Dorenga, Carnota, Moreno Torre, Cónsola - Cara, Pont, Massot, Toneu - Clos, Cancino.
*****LVF***** had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Lineup: Hernández - Góngora, Elguera, Ríos Mendez, Hoyos - Fontanete, Siller, Yarritu, Ciurana - Vayer, Campoo.
0 - 1 was the score with 8 minutes played, after
S. Siller cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for *****LVF*****.
After 21 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
A. Vayer who increased *****LVF*****'s lead to 0 - 2.
After this, you could see that the players of *****LVF***** were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
S. Siller should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting JARQUE a goal with 36 minutes of the match played.
*****LVF*****'s
A. Vayer made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 40 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
J. Dorenga of JARQUE received a yellow card after 41 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
D. Ciurana of *****LVF***** took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 42 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3.
An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 43 minutes into the match, putting *****LVF***** ahead 0 - 4.
A. Góngora was the scorer.
0 - 4 was the score after the first half.
*****LVF***** claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.
With 51 minutes gone, *****LVF***** had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However,
A. Vayer did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out.
After 59 minutes, *****LVF*****'s
D. Ciurana burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5.
With 61 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
J. Elguera of *****LVF***** to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 6.
H. Sáinz was called on to replace *****LVF*****'s
A. Góngora after 72 minutes following a nasty collision.
After 81 minutes, *****LVF***** sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
T. Campoo, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 7.
*****LVF***** enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 66 percent of possession.
Most important JARQUE player was
A. Massot.
However,
P. Carnota made a disastrous appearance.
*****LVF*****'s top performer was clearly
J. Hoyos.
H. Sáinz turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 0 - 7.
