Bababuy 0 - 4 Jedula

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 3260 to Bababuy Stadium. All of Andalucía was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the local rivalry game. Our studio analysts were correct. Bababuy has taken the field in a 4-4-2 alignment. Lineup: Domine - Echebarría, Rivero López, Trencavel, Maluquer - Sánchez, Solís, Villena, Riascos - Orge, Montes de Oca.

Gentlemen prefer blondes and Jedula prefers a 3-4-2. Let's see how this plays out for them. The following players had been selected: Katona - de Moxó, Castañer, Cistue - Coloma, Forner, Armero, Ruiz de Castilla - Valdés, Joaquim.

Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 2 minutes into the match, and E. Joaquim wasn't about to waste it. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. After 4 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Jedula found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to poor. G. Orge's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some beautiful tricks that fooled the defense. Jedula's J. Forner received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 23 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 0 - 2. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! J. Echebarría missed a penalty 24 minutes in, seemingly unable to stay focused for the shot. After 27 minutes Bababuy's G. Sánchez contracted a slight foot injury, but said he could still finish the game. 30 minutes in, Jedula appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only poor. After 38 minutes, Jedula's V. Ruiz de Castilla burst through the central defense and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. After this, you could see that Jedula's players were mostly interested in killing time and holding on to their lead. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Jedula, with an impressive 53 percent possession of the ball.

Jedula's coach went over the strategy again during the break, and after that his players had passable organization. The visitors' J. Coloma took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 60 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Jedula. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, Jedula's P. Valdés finally got himself booked for a foul. Bababuy were forced into a substitution as A. Rivero López couldn't continue playing due to some rough treatment, so A. Traiki had to come in from the bench. 69 minutes into the game, Jedula seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a poor level of organization. Jedula were doing a good job holding on to the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Bababuy's top performer was clearly J. Echebarría. I can't remember H. Villena ever having a worse night than he just had. E. Joaquim performed admirably for Jedula. Speaking of stinking up the place, J. Katona sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. The match ends 0 - 4.
