The 10593 spectators at Toe Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Kristian Vinterin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dragan Kajganić and Roberto Orlando. zeruko had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Martínez - Lerderena, Ursúa, de Lózar, Murciano - Llorenç, García de Barrosa, Nin Novoa, Barrios - Iragui, Tordera.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Cuchirun. The following players took the field: Miret - Eresma, Tolerano, Badillo, Pinos-Puente - Malafaya, Boned, Requesens, Sabasquida - Vicioso, Cerecedo.

Cuchirun's H. Cerecedo gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 5 minutes with a superb strike from the right. zeruko's L. Tordera was shown a yellow card after 15 minutes for slicing down an opponent. S. Sabasquida was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Cuchirun's U. Abdellaoui had to come off the bench. zeruko's E. Llorenç had a good first touch on the flank, but was crowded and, after a change of plan, sent the ball to M. Iragui who somehow managed to curl the ball wide. The referee signalled a penalty 26 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. L. Eresma knocked it home to make the score 0 - 2. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Cuchirun claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

51 minutes into the game a free kick by L. Eresma found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Cuchirun's lead 0 - 3. J. García de Barrosa tried to get a goal back for zeruko but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. The head of R. Requesens connected with a corner kick after 59 minutes, and the ball ended up with R. Pinos-Puente of Cuchirun who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 0 - 4. The players of Cuchirun now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. F. Boned was, after 61 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper H. Martínez made the save. After the ball was lifted in from the left, R. Requesens was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 62 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from R. Pinos-Puente after 63 minutes, and prevented Cuchirun from going up another goal. zeruko's L. Tordera refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 68 minutes. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

Most important zeruko player was J. García de Barrosa. P. Ursúa turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Cuchirun player was without a doubt L. Vicioso. On the other hand, A. Miret's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 4.
