Clear skies welcomed the 4562 spectators who had made their way to Borobia Arena. Eugen Keil was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Szymek Zięcina and Reno Zwüsler. Borobia tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for hakun4. The following players had been chosen: Ordoñez - Zayas-Bazán, Jufré, Cadavide, Posadas - Beloki, Cerda, Alegre, Cimbrón - Frera, Vandelvira.

The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 11 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. Borobia fans erupted in celebration as F. Balboa rifled the ball into the the top corner. 1 - 0! The visiting team's P. Cimbrón was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 27 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. Borobia could have put themselves ahead after 28 minutes but A. Aginaga missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. After 35 minutes, hakun4's E. Beloki made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. With 35 minutes played, P. Cimbrón of hakun4 fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 36 minutes of play, J. Rico evened things up for Borobia with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. After 38 minutes, Borobia were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. N. Velázquez did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Borobia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

D. das Xunqueiras caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 58 minutes. This gave Borobia the 3 - 2 lead. D. das Xunqueiras received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 67 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 71 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when I. Jufré tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. D. Foraster squirmed through their central defence after 74 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 2. The score became 5 - 2 at 77 minutes into the game, when Borobia were given a penalty which F. Balboa blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! The players of Borobia now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Borobia's A. Aginaga was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 81 minutes. A bit later, hakun4's X. Cadavide easily reduced the lead to 5 - 3 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. D. das Xunqueiras should probably have put his team up another goal after 84 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by T. Ordoñez kept the visitors in the game. Borobia claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

Most important Borobia player was D. Foraster. R. Corbarán on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating hakun4 player was without a doubt P. Cimbrón. However, X. Cadavide made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 3.
