It had rained all day, but 5148 hardy fans still made it out to MPear Arena. Didier Ziegelasch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Václav Sikora and Giuseppe Genchi. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Bratislavský derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. MPear decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Jacolet - Bartrés, Pastor, Kasdorff, Ragančík - Pietragalla, Katrenec, Lamberti, Stokholm - Kulbert, Di Gianpasquale.

Bl@ck had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Zeleňanský - Krenický, Blažnik, Ďurčat, Kremnický - Keselý, Vídenský, Matašeje, Perger - Sporina, Hruboš.

MPear saw most attack opportunities on the wings. MPear took the lead after 20 minutes as a result of F. Kasdorff's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. R. Di Gianpasquale unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. MPear solidified their lead at the 26 minute mark, as A. Stokholm dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. After 28 minutes Bl@ck's I. Perger had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. A. Šindelka came in to replace him. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. MPear claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

It was obvious that MPear had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. MPear put themselves up 3 - 0 when R. Di Gianpasquale broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. With 63 minutes played, MPear put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to À. Bartrés, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. M. Katrenec squirmed through their central defence after 67 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. After this, you could see that the players of MPear were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. MPear's L. Pietragalla was shown a yellow card after 68 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The rain made it hard for players like A. Krenický to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. 77 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. Katrenec broke through, making the score 6 - 0 for MPear. Bl@ck's A. Šindelka was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 80 minutes. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of MPear to 7 - 0 as S. Ragančík finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. MPear had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

Most important MPear player was M. Katrenec. A. Stokholm was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Bl@ck player was without a doubt M. Sporina. A. Blažnik on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 0.
