Eekhof hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Sirdal claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

During the break, Flaktveit's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. Sirdal took the lead 47 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by G. Teodori that made the score 2 - 1. 48 minutes into the game, Flaktveit seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. Flaktveit's counterattacks created a good chance for S. Fosen on the right after 56 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as E. von Bonin broke through, making the score 3 - 1 for Sirdal. Flaktveit's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing S. Fosen to score easily from the right flank for 3 - 2. H. Ødegård was called on to replace Flaktveit's M. Brevik after 87 minutes following a nasty collision. With the clock showing 88 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Flaktveit resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by H. Ødegård in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Sirdal's A. Siponen got himself booked for a foul. Sirdal had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.
