Rioux left the field after 16 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was R. Margolin. 0 - 1 was the score with 17 minutes played, after S. Camps cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Lang-holm. Lang-holm's B. Bakos made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 23 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Donn's I. Chilet got himself booked for a foul. Donn players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Due to some great work on the right wing Donn's A. Hodniuk was able to even the score after 28 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Donn, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

The visiting H. Karoui was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 56 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. Usually a powerful player on the field, H. Karoui looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. After 85 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for S. Camps who increased Lang-holm's lead to 1 - 3. A superb free kick by Donn's A. Hodniuk after 86 minutes looked like it'd reduced the lead after it hit the underside of the bar and bounced down over the line, but to the fury of the home crowd the linesman missed it - no goal! Donn supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to R. Peisl who reduced the visitors' lead after 87 minutes to 2 - 3. Lang-holm had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Most important Donn player was M. Paone. However, I. Chilet made a disastrous appearance. H. Mota Bastos performed admirably for Lang-holm. H. Karoui was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
