(öregfiúk) 0 - 4 OTI (368453057)

Clear skies welcomed the 32912 spectators who had made their way to (Öregfiúk) Arena. Robert Špis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Carmel Sheinzinger and Tito Clarabelli. (öregfiúk) tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination. Lineup: László - Horała, Bozóky, Schilder, Holdorp, Buscarinu - Ziegenaus, Brecska, Lang - Szívós, Ürmösi.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for OTI. Starters: Palicz - Weetzen, Ottlakán, Tarkó - Desportes, Staidl, Petry, Koncsik - Ottlakán, Magot, Kotnyek.

For their match strategy, (öregfiúk) had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. (öregfiúk)'s S. Brecska tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. OTI took the lead after 20 minutes making the score 0 - 1. B. Kotnyek placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. After 29 minutes (öregfiúk)'s I. Bozóky limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Given a free kick close to the byline, OTI tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let L. Magot slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 2, 30 minutes into the game. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to OTI, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

B. Kotnyek of OTI took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 51 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3. With the clock showing 70 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of (öregfiúk) resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by W. Ziegenaus in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. The visitors' L. Magot took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 72 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for OTI. At this point, it was obvious that the players of OTI lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. OTI enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

(öregfiúk)'s top performer was clearly L. Ürmösi. A. Horała was a disappointment, however. OTI's best player was T. Ottlakán. On the other hand, G. Desportes's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 4.
