(368453410)

10-03-2012 15.30
Dark skies made the crowd of 47759 at
Budapest Cheetahs Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Juan Hellal was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Randolf Gerstner and
Håkan Rahmstrand.
Everyone was excited about the upcoming
Budapest derby and the crowd was divided evenly.
Cheetahs tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
They fielded: Ðorović - Álamo, Costeira, Sall - Jakab, Nedwell, Della Casa, Biros - Tóth, Nemcsik, Szondy.
Rugólábúak had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
Lineup: Dodebier - Duba, 瑞宏 (Ruihong), Róbert - Bor, Szrnka, Kiss, Nistor - Ireland, Lamprecht, Fuligni.
Cheetahs focused on getting players in position for long range shots.
T. Nistor made a nice dash down the wing after 29 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded.
It might be a while before the fans see Cheetahs's
V. Jakab again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 30 minute mark. He was replaced by
V. Egyed.
Cheetahs succeeded with their tactics after 33 minutes faking a cross into the penalty area, but instead passing a short side pass back to
B. Szondy who met the ball directly with his outstretched foot. The hard long shot touched the keeper's finger tips, but it wasn't enough to stop it from going in. 1 - 0.
It was 1 - 0 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cheetahs, with 51 percent of the ball.
Rugólábúak needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
R. Lamprecht made way for
M. Malé.
P. Duba looked like he could fly, as he rose high to head the ball. Unfortunately for Rugólábúak, the ball went just barely wide.
Some beautiful play by Cheetahs set up
V. Egyed in a good shooting position after 71 minutes, but
J. Dodebier made a great save on the low hard shot.
Cheers filled the stadium as
T. Nemcsik broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Cheetahs.
The crowd roared its approval when
N. Ðorović somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Rugólábúak's
G. Fuligni 74 minutes into the game.
Possession in this half belonged to Cheetahs, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
A. Tóth performed admirably for Cheetahs.
V. Egyed turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Rugólábúak player was without a doubt
Á. Szrnka.
On the other hand,
P. Duba's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 0.
