Dark skies made the crowd of 46565 at
Ali Dabaja Stadium a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Piotr Borciuch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ferdinando Spompato and
Marco Maioli.
Torpedo had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.

25 minutes into the match Torpedo's
G. Cohen head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately.
The player down was
L. Tieste. The Königlich´96 bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up.
Königlich´96 took the lead after 28 minutes making the score 0 - 1.
J. Barraza placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.
Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Torpedo, but
P. Dupond's shot went over the bar.
H. Palenberg couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted
J. Barraza as he dodged past on his way to scoring a wonderful goal for Königlich´96 - 0 - 2!
L. Tieste increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3.
Königlich´96's
G. Valmartin had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 40 minutes having been played.
M. Briand was the replacement.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
A. Pilátik after 41 minutes, and prevented Königlich´96 from going up another goal.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3.
Possession in this half belonged to Königlich´96, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
The Königlich´96 coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 46 minutes into the game.
In the lead, Königlich´96 adjusted their style of play with 60 minutes gone.
Torpedo needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes

G. Wozniak.
After 70 minutes, Torpedo used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach.
F. Eechkoter came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
W. Kranzfelder but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Torpedo's
D. Gatscha was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes.
E. Flennier was given a chance to change things around.
Königlich´96 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
R. Payboğa performed admirably for Torpedo.
L. Bura turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Königlich´96 player was without a doubt
J. Barraza.
M. Košutić was a disappointment, however.
