Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for TB09.
TB09's counterattacks created a good chance for
E. Uccheddu on the right after 7 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar.
15 minutes in, TB09's
A. Jagob received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Dresden had to make a substitution after 17 minutes.

With 22 minutes played
L. Dellinger almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide.
TB09's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision!
M. Paulson's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper.
It was 0 - 0 at the break.
Dresden enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
Dresden created a good opportunity to score 49 minutes into the match when

The home team's fans were upset when, after 80 minutes, the visiting
B. Roguet broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 2 - 1 was the score.

Dresden claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
Most important Dresden player was
L. Dellinger.
On the other hand,
E. Boca's play was disheartening.
