Fallera 3 - 4 TSV GM (368846599)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 30937 that came out to OH-Arena. Henri Berline was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marcelo Lobo and Arthur Cameron. Fallera had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Chloros - Cristoiu, Brauer, Dennison - Moneta, Zbinden, Panizo, Reithmayer, Ecer - Spatzenegger, Biltes.

TSV GM tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. Starters: Wangenheim - Bednarek, Ammerer - van Oostenrijk, Rønn, Ardalanfar, Goergen, Hons - Simeonov, Camaro, Sağun.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, L. Brauer got himself booked. The manager of Fallera was not happy. Down the middle came R. van Oostenrijk, making a fantastic play that nearly had TSV GM take the lead after 8 minutes, but T. Chloros preserved the tie. The sun seemed to put L. Ammerer in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. After 23 minutes, Fallera sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached L. Brauer, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 0. L. Camaro made a run for the goal 35 minutes into the game but the home team's left back managed to sort the situation out in the end. L. Brauer knew he was in trouble after hacking down an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the Fallera player was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from the game. After 39 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by M. Moneta might have resulted in another goal for Fallera. However, W. Wangenheim made a spectacular save. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Fallera had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Y. Panizo should probably have put his team up another goal after 46 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by W. Wangenheim kept the visitors in the game. Fallera's Y. Panizo got himself booked for a foul. As usual, K. Ardalanfar tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. 64 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as I. Hons struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. Fallera's D. Cristoiu refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 69 minutes. TSV GM's S. Goergen managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 74 minutes. 1 - 2. M. Reithmayer made a superb strike after 78 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. After 81 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave K. Ardalanfar a chance to increase the lead for TSV GM, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 3. Fallera refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, D. Cristoiu managed to slip the ball home for 2 - 3. The visitors' S. Goergen took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 88 minutes into the match. 2 - 4 for TSV GM. The referee showed Fallera's S. Biltes the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. R. van Oostenrijk's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for TSV GM, he bravely continued in the match. Fallera were awarded a penalty 89 minutes into the match and M. Dennison fired the ball into the net to make the score 3 - 4. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Fallera's best player was M. Dennison. However, E. Ecer made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating TSV GM player was without a doubt S. Goergen. L. Ammerer was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 4.
