Trubental used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Today, Eching's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Ö. Kor gave Trubental the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Against a lesser team, Trubental could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 21 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. A great save by keeper A. Mpitsikas after 23 minutes kept the visitors in the game after N. Terze struck from the left with a real cannonball. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Trubental, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 51 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but A. De Falco got the best of it, blocking the shot from H. Gehrling. It wasn't a good day at all for M. Dobrowolski. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Trubental managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when Ö. Kor cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Trubental's F. Wehrshausen had an excellent opportunity after 78 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! A quick counter attack by Eching forced the opponent's defender to give away a freekick. E. Scandaletti was allowed to take it quickly by the referee, much to the dismay of the goalkeeper who wasn't prepared. 2 - 1! N. Tessler enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Eching had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. A cross coming in on the right hand side left E. Scandaletti alone in front of the goal after 84 minutes but his shot was woeful. 85 minutes into the game, Trubental's J. Feiken surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to C. Hocke who easily found the back of the net, making the score 3 - 1. Trubental put in a good effort on the right, but C. Hocke saw his volley fly wide of the mark 86 minutes into the game. Trubental enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

Most important Trubental player was J. Zornhausen. A. De Falco on the other hand, had a terrible day. J. Argenziano performed admirably for Eching. A. Mpitsikas was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
