Balling charged down the left and looked sure to score for Köln-Ehrenfeld 44 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Köln-Ehrenfeld, with 61 percent of the ball.

A couple of inches to the right and C. Diez Canseco's free kick 60 minutes into the match would have resulted in the goal of the year for Köln-Ehrenfeld. 77 minutes in, the unpredictable T.
