Clear skies welcomed the 15827 spectators who had made their way to
Oase der Ruhe.
Teodoro Manzoni was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ragnar Berg and
Lennie Terhaart.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Wildensee.
They fielded: Goldhafer - Grogger, Guerreiro Almeida - Aleksić, Parias, Stallknecht, Sokk, Bertonazzi - Custo, Engebretsen, Sibley.
Querenburg started off with a 5-4-1 lineup.
The following players took the field: Staiger - Usai, Babay, Nüesch, Weder, Krarup - Pind, de Sousa, Jadlóczky, Bezombe - Bahnsen.
The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
O. Custo, but the Wildensee player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0!
Wildensee's
S. Sibley was shown a yellow card after 15 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
S. Engebretsen of Wildensee was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish
S. Babay, which resulted in a goal making the score 2 - 0.
The home side's
S. Sibley came close to extending the lead 30 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
I. Staiger managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
S. Engebretsen had a fantastic opportunity to put Wildensee up another goal 33 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
G. Bertonazzi of Wildensee was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.

A great save by keeper
I. Staiger after 58 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
S. Engebretsen struck from the left with a real cannonball.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Wildensee scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
C. Grogger after 59 minutes.
S. Engebretsen fired a shot from distance after 60 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Wildensee.
G. Bertonazzi unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
The bench was restless, and with 70 minutes passed Querenburg's coach gave
S. Duarte the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
J. Bezombe reluctantly left the field.
Querenburg's
R. Bahnsen got himself booked for a foul.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Wildensee's
G. Bertonazzi increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
By now, the players in Wildensee felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Possession in this half belonged to Wildensee, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.
Wildensee's top performer was clearly
S. Engebretsen.
T. Goldhafer was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Querenburg player was without a doubt
T. de Sousa.
On the other hand,
R. Bahnsen's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 0.
