The crowd of 18756 turning up at Uwe Seeler Fussballtempel today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Matteo Gadaleta was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Andreas Beckström and Robbin Demaegd. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Snoopy. Lineup: Buschdorf - Hunglinger, Ullemeyer, Spannocchi - Schlaak, Schrader-Graf, Graml, Leinfelder - Mehlmann, Langlois, Nömers.

Garching decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. The following players took the field: Franchini - Litwinowicz, Wall, Torstila, Valkonen - Feikert, Druet, Suokannas, Kick, Pronebner - Loureiro.

For their match strategy, Garching had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. 15 minutes in Snoopy probably could have turned their free kick into a shot, but went for a cross instead. Unfortunately, M. Nömers jumped too late and the ball was redirected out for a goal kick. Maybe M. Schlaak should join the aquatics team instead. He went down dramatically after 21 minutes, crying out with agony as he fell. The referee was not impressed, though, and showed him a yellow for diving. Snoopy's A. Leinfelder tried to break through the middle repeatedly, but the visitors' defenders were just too alert. 25 minutes into the game, Garching seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. Snoopy won the midfield battle for the half, with 59 percent possession of the ball.

Garching's coach went over the strategy again during the break, and after that his players had solid organization. A questionable penalty after 51 minutes gave the home side the lead, 1 - 0. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as F. Graml knocked the ball home. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Snoopy's J. Hunglinger bringing the lead up to 2 - 0. 68 minutes into the game, Garching had difficulty finding their positions and their organization dropped to inadequate. After 69 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by F. Graml might have resulted in another goal for Snoopy. However, D. Franchini made a spectacular save. Being such a powerful lad, M. Nömers hardly even noticed the downpour and fought on through the soupy pitch. 74 minutes in, Snoopy appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only passable. 75 minutes had passed when Snoopy put themselves up 3 - 0 after the visiting defenders lost the ball to M. Mehlmann, who came up from the left and proceeded to easily go around the goalkeeper and knock the ball home. Snoopy set the tempo, maintaining 53 percent of possession.

Snoopy's top performer was clearly M. Mehlmann. M. Langlois on the other hand, had a terrible day. B. Loureiro performed admirably for Garching. D. Franchini was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
