Bamali 4 - 0 Skydancers
(369002590)

21-04-2012 18.40
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 14000 had shown up at
Fuchsbergstadion for the match.
Joshua Ekhart was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Carlos María Segura and
Nemanja Tašković.
Bamali had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Röse - Gulik, Ihnen, Malliotakis - Klauer, Shinawatra, Pérez, Adelpoller, Heerlen - Richter von Welzenstein, Tonderski.
Skydancers tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Auväärt - Donner, Casanova, Korner, Büchling - Coulter, Gavros, Vincelot, Crăineanu - Rosenbæk, Bertasi.
Skydancers mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
After 12 minutes of play,
I. Tonderski gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right.
A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 24 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but
I. Auväärt got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar.
Against a lesser team, Bamali could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 30 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Bamali's
I. Richter von Welzenstein increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Bamali, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
M. Gulik should probably have put his team up another goal after 47 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
I. Auväärt kept the visitors in the game.
Cheers filled the stadium as
C. Shinawatra broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Bamali.
After 69 minutes,
M. Gulik put Bamali ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Skydancers players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
Bamali claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
Bamali's top performer was clearly
D. Pérez.
I. Malliotakis turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important Skydancers player was
R. Rosenbæk.
J. Coulter on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 4 - 0.
