previous 8/10 next 10/10  Dabest 5 - 0 Chiemsee (369053735)

A scorching day at the new nolimit gangstas place, where 24932 spectators were in place for today's match. Ingemar ''Smaro'' Dyrén was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Yke van Diepen and Laust Danielsen. Dabest had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Mazzone - Reynaert, Arnaudov, Zuchart - Kopreit, Puttmann, Legnazzi, Pantyushin, Papatrechas - Tienforti, Petry.

A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Chiemsee. Starters: Pfeiffer - Rahmborg, Langers, Ayerdi, Gharibpour, Gragno - Poupin, Poltronieri, Fines - Zen, Hindel.

Right from the start it was obvious that Dabest were expecting an easy victory. Chiemsee clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. With 4 minutes played E. Petry almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Chiemsee were able to mount several counterattacks, such as the impressive one after 5 minutes, but K. Rahmborg lofted a free kick over the crossbar. Some things can only be learned through experience, and P. Arnaudov should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Chiemsee a goal with 6 minutes of the match played. Making his way up the middle 22 minutes into the match, F. Tienforti almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert R. Pfeiffer blocked it to keep the score level. With 34 minutes played, V. Poupin of Chiemsee fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. V. Zuchart gave Dabest the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Dabest put themselves up 2 - 0 when E. Petry broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. By now, the players in Dabest felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. When A. Gragno was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 42 minutes, Chiemsee fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Dabest, with 80 percent of the ball.

A great save by keeper R. Pfeiffer after 59 minutes kept the visitors in the game after V. Zuchart struck from the left with a real cannonball. 60 minutes into the game Chiemsee managed a counterattack, but B. Zen took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. After 65 minutes Dabest's T. Mazzone limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. The intense heat forced J. Langers into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. Cheers filled the stadium as E. Petry broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Dabest. Usually a powerful player on the field, L. Hindel looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. Dabest's N. Legnazzi left the field after 89 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was A. Scacciavillani. Dabest managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when A. Scacciavillani cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Dabest's E. Petry increasing the lead to 5 - 0. By then E. Petry had scored three goals - a hat trick! After 89 minutes Chiemsee's R. Pfeiffer contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Dabest had most of the ball, with 84 percent of possession.

Most important Dabest player was J. Puttmann. On the other hand, F. Tienforti's play was disheartening. B. Zen performed admirably for Chiemsee. However, R. Pfeiffer made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 0.
