The 57691 spectators at SOAD Bowl were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Gian-Reto Loss was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tuomas Mikkonen and Leslie Weyerman. The wings were the focus of most of Punkrock's attacks today. The sun seemed to put P. Zazzetta in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. M. Gomez of Punkrock received a yellow card after 23 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Sparta took the lead after 33 minutes making the score 0 - 1. H. Mayer-Berg placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. The crowd roared in delight as T. Torre finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Punkrock 37 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. 38 minutes into the game, P. Passoni had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came H. Bin-Yaseen. Sparta's opponents know to be wary of P. Pan's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 39 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 43 minutes into the match left Sparta's H. Mayer-Berg completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. With 47 minutes played, Č. Pudich nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Punkrock's T. Torre had seen it all before, so he waited patiently for the right opportunity. He would get no better chance than the one he took, but his shot was deftly blocked by the keeper. The home crowd cheered when, after 72 minutes, Y. Jaber's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. With 80 minutes played, the Punkrock coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. S. Connery came on, T. Torre had to leave the fray. After 89 minutes, Punkrock switched J. Falken with I. Cook, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. J. Hallstein became the new Punkrock captain. Sparta claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

Punkrock's top performer was clearly M. Gomez. I. Cook turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Sparta player was P. Pan. However, V. Lischev made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 2.
