The 52305 spectators at Gebettempel Einsiedeln were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Cry "havoc" and let loose the dogs of war! Einsiedeln will go to battle in a 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been selected: Schnitz - Ponce, Bona, De Fanti - Porcheddu, Clerico, Stralenheim, Zwicky, Vicastillo - Scharer, Maibaum.

Gentlemen prefer blondes and pfuscht prefers a 4-3-3. Let's see how this plays out for them. The following players took the field: de Diesbach - Spillmann, Seckinger, Roca, Lufkin - Zöbeli, Menges, Zipkes - Buchwiser, Wildisen, Ruppli.

A magnificent level of counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of pfuscht. 15 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Einsiedeln to take the lead after a good ball from the right found L. Zwicky alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, Einsiedeln's E. Ponce finally got himself booked for a foul. pfuscht almost scored after a swift counter-attack 43 minutes into the game, but E. Zöbeli put the shot from the left flank just outside the frame. A foul called during a pfuscht counter-attack resulted in a great chance to score, but T. Menges's shot rattled off the post. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that Einsiedeln had 68...68 percent possession. AH AH AH!

Einsiedeln had a chance to take the lead after J. Vicastillo's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled away as his shot went just over the bar with 59 minutes played. Einsiedeln took the lead 67 minutes in, after G. De Fanti's awkward, but ultimately successful, shot from the right. 1 - 0. 67 minutes into the game, Einsiedeln adjusted their style of play and hoped to close out the game with their lead intact. After 67 minutes, the Einsiedeln players received new instructions from their manager on how to stay in control of the game. The Einsiedeln coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 70 minutes into the game. After 72 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as pfuscht found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to inadequate. The goal to make it 1 - 1 was scored by T. Buchwiser with 78 minutes on the clock, following an opportunistic counter-attack down the middle by pfuscht. Einsiedeln could have put themselves ahead after 79 minutes but J. Vicastillo mishit a volley on a ball coming in from the right. Einsiedeln set the tempo, maintaining 72 percent of possession.

L. Zwicky performed admirably for Einsiedeln. Good thing G. De Fanti isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. pfuscht's top performer was clearly T. Buchwiser. Speaking of stinking up the place, A. Wildisen sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. The match ends 1 - 1.
