Hallelujah 2 - 0 Twilight
(369404068)

19-05-2012 20.00
Due to an all-day shower, 60315 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Hard Rock Arena.
Emil Röllin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Stefano Stame and
Filip Arnautović.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Hallelujah.
Lineup: Mombers - Yarza, Schnell, Casolari, Răducu - Chiaromonte, Kánya, Mičola, van Rijswijk - Wilmet, Valkonen.
Twilight decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Harald - Manea, Nieman, Di Tullio, Pidal - Richter, Neves Lobo, Mosteiro, Hyvänen - Belsvik, Killstad.
It was an obvious ambition of Hallelujah to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Twilight.
After 35 minutes,
J. Yarza sent the corner kick right to
M. Mičola who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 0!
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
P. Neves Lobo.
D. van Rijswijk did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch.
40 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
A. Valkonen broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Hallelujah.
Hallelujah's
K. Schnell soared above the crowd, but couldn't knock the corner home 41 minutes into the match.
O. Kánya could have put Hallelujah up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 42 minutes.
Twilight mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 43 minutes, but
F. Nieman was unable to convert from short range.
44 minutes in, Hallelujah's
F. Wilmet received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
Hallelujah enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 58 minute mark, Twilight's
P. Neves Lobo hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
Good work by the Twilight defensive line after 62 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
G. Mosteiro alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide.
After 70 minutes, Twilight switched
R. Richter with
V. Justs, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
A great save by keeper
V. Harald after 73 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
F. Wilmet struck from the left with a real cannonball.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Hallelujah, with 67 percent of the ball.
Hallelujah's top performer was clearly
F. Wilmet.
G. Chiaromonte was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Twilight player was without a doubt
V. Belsvik.
P. Neves Lobo turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 0.
