8474 spectators arrived at
Oschatz Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Marcellin Chevillon was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ricardo Arango and
Giuliano Cominelli.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Oschatz.
Lineup: Gößnitz - Rübe, Mehrmann, Schwarzer, Rothmaler - Beneder, Ruthenberg, Sünnobend, Reimanns - Hodnik, Eminger.
Harse decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
They fielded: Grafenauer - Rotkreuz, Bächlers, Springe, Schäfler - Magdanz, Blankart, Zöphel, Sretenović - Seidberger, Sadler.
Oschatz fans held their breath as
O. Ruthenberg scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0!
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
N. Hodnik from Oschatz a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 14 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Cheers filled the stadium as
J. Sünnobend broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Oschatz.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Oschatz lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
K. Rothmaler of Oschatz was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
A well placed corner kick from
L. Rotkreuz was followed by
T. Schäfler's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Harse, the score now 2 - 1.
J. Eminger's lightning pace was too much for
H. Bächlers who could only look on as the Oschatz player blasted one home. 3 - 1.
With 39 minutes gone, Oschatz had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However,
H. Reimanns did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out.
3 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Oschatz claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
61 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as
J. Magdanz anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 3 - 2.
Oschatz enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.
Oschatz's top performer was clearly
J. Eminger.
J. Gößnitz was a disappointment, however.
V. Springe performed admirably for Harse.
However,
M. Grafenauer made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 3 - 2.
