René's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for FC BS, he bravely continued in the match. After 37 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave É. Dupin a chance to increase the lead for FC BS, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to FC BS, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the FC BS coach let A. Bocola replace J. Clignet after 65 minutes. The FC BS players could smell victory in the air. G. René wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for M. Grimau after 70 minutes. FC BS's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle.
