The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 31967 had shown up at
LE BELVEDERE for the match.
Téofil Coeur was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Eemil Vahvaselkä and
Swen Hindpere.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for KRATOR.
Lineup: Carre - Hoeppner, Escalante, Nemmouchi - Huguenin, Jouet, Perraud, Ridel, Pätzel - Oresharov, Killér.
TARTIFLETTE tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Pacary - Orozco, Andersson, Sacktannen - Bouclier, Rendu, Plaire, Dubard, Merli bedetti - Stehle, Cogne.
TARTIFLETTE were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 27 minutes, TARTIFLETTE did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
A. Cogne was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1.
36 minutes in, KRATOR's
D. Oresharov received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 37 minutes into the match, an alert
D. Oresharov bagged the ball for KRATOR, levelling the score to 1 - 1.
TARTIFLETTE had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
41 minutes into the match, TARTIFLETTE nearly took the lead, as
U. Stehle broke through on the right.
Y. Carre made the save, however.
The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
D. Oresharov, but the KRATOR player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1!
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
KRATOR claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
TARTIFLETTE had a chance to level the score as
S. Bouclier suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar.
It was obvious that TARTIFLETTE had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
An equalising goal seemed certain after 60 minutes when
A. Cogne attacked down the left wing, but
Y. Carre just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net.
As the match clock hit 70 minutes, KRATOR regrouped to try and keep their initiative in the game.
D. Oresharov high-fived
H. Killér as they swapped positions on the team.
J. Escalante neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to
D. Oresharov who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post.
With 74 minutes played, KRATOR's
H. Killér almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.

A. Cogne was able to finish off the move - 2 - 2.
76 minutes into the match and the home team took a 3 - 2 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for KRATOR was
B. Jouet.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by KRATOR, with 54 percent of the ball.
KRATOR's top performer was clearly
B. Jouet.
J. Escalante turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating TARTIFLETTE player was without a doubt
F. Dubard.
On the other hand,
S. Bouclier's play was disheartening.
The match ends 3 - 2.
