Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Stade de la mine saw a crowd turnout of 28131. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. A well placed corner kick from K. Landau was followed by T. Giordano's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Olympique, the score now 0 - 1. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Chalmoux, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. M. Giardulli of Chalmoux was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The crowd roared in delight as S. Gabriel finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Chalmoux 23 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. Making his way up the middle 28 minutes into the match, E. Hari almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert A. Lerat blocked it to keep the score level. 31 minutes into the game, É. Lesonen 61 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Chalmoux. Olympique's L. Holletschek was shown a yellow card after 76 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Chalmoux's A. Villafañe saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 81 minutes. The visiting team's K. Landau was able to score the 2 - 2 equaliser with a header 83 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. Chalmoux claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

S. Gabriel performed admirably for Chalmoux. M. Bjørnstrøm was a disappointment, however. Olympique's best player was K. Landau. However, A. Lerat made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 2.
