Incarbona who chipped it in for 0 - 1. hiro tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, G. Queirós got himself booked. The manager of hiro was not happy. One of many good crosses from N. Richer on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by G. Minodier, who scored for hiro. 1 - 1 The guests almost went up by a goal after 34 minutes when K. Tribouillard came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. hiro mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 35 minutes, but C. Santalla was unable to convert from short range. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Calistas claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

60 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a hiro substitution. Y. Barbedette came on for J. Lefebvre. After 70 minutes, the hiro coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving A. Teixeira off the field. F. Prioul took his place. The Calistas free kick 72 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of A. Kieffer, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 2! With 73 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, M. Conseil needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. W. Diffrenz got a fingertip on V. Incarbona's shot from the left 82 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Possession in this half belonged to Calistas, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

hiro's top performer was clearly C. Santalla. On the other hand, W. Diffrenz's play was disheartening. The most dominating Calistas player was without a doubt K. Tribouillard. E. Eitani turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
