Canto was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. With 23 minutes on the clock, N. Gradinarov surprised the guests' goalkeeper with a snappy free kick, which reduced their lead to 1 - 2. T. Burns was called on to replace Quinta's D. Bliffi after 26 minutes following a nasty collision. 29 minutes into the game, Quinta worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. N. Gradinarov made a superb strike after 34 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Quinta claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but S. Piazzese showed great heart and had a good game. 56 minutes into the match, S. Penafiel came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Quinta's T. Ščurič proved that he's been around on a football pitch before, when he took advantage of a few moments of confusion in the opposition's defensive line and elegantly scored for 1 - 3. Seixal's K. Nilsen had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 74 minutes having been played. H. Hinterleitner was the replacement. The home crowd was not impressed when T. Burns came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 75 minutes. Quinta were now up 1 - 4. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, T. Canto would have put Quinta up another goal 76 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Seixal's F. Silverborg got himself booked for a foul. The player down was C. Mathé. The Quinta bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. The home team's supporters got excited again when G. Repac broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 2 - 4. J. Sannino of Quinta took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 87 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 2 - 5. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Quinta, with 52 percent of the ball.

Most important Seixal player was N. Gradinarov. H. Hinterleitner on the other hand, had a terrible day. Quinta's top performer was clearly A. Supernat. On the other hand, N. Carrapatoso's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 5.
