previous 4/10 next 6/10  Real 0 - 1 Moinhos (370708067)

29391 spectators had found their way to D. M. Real Arena, despite the heavy rain. Valdo Arredondo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Leif Brostad and Salva Casaprín. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Real. The following players took the field: Wieringa - Palha, Ljungell, Escudeiro, Bucha - Everen, Zenz, Bonù, Kalil, Vendrell - Garcia.

Moinhos had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Hansson - Bentsen, Szymalec, Lutz, Ameryk - Asperti, Rath, Farkas, Schwald, Majano - Bērziņš.

The visitors could have taken the lead from a free kick after 30 minutes, if it wasn't for the jaw-dropping save by R. Wieringa. S. Garcia was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. Halftime score was 0 - 0. Real claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

After 60 minutes, the Moinhos coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving M. Bentsen off the field. A. Nardella took his place. 60 minutes into the game, Moinhos wanted to bring some new energy to their game. R. Ameryk gave A. Baggen a quick hug as he left the field. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when R. Bērziņš slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against R. Wieringa, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. The referee showed Moinhos's F. Asperti the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The guests took the lead 73 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in A. Nardella scoring to make it 0 - 1. Real's O. Vendrell made an attempt at equalising 83 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Real, with 52 percent of the ball.

Most important Real player was H. Escudeiro. However, S. Garcia made a disastrous appearance. Moinhos's top performer was clearly F. Asperti. A. Baggen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
