Feds 4 - 0 Pedini (370708494)

Dark skies made the crowd of 40930 at O Lamacento a little nervous, but the rain held off. Ciro Titini was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Óscar Hervàs and Andreas Hansson. Feds started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Malloci - Santin, Stára, Laev - Magonara, Katzir, Leuchi, Sárhidai, Ziętak - Žunić, Surnov.

Pedini had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Ferreira - Parreira, Bonfim, Paiva - Rego, Ericeira, Minhoto, Borges, Capela - Enggård, Pongor.

S. Malloci looked great 3 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' E. Enggård. At 23 minutes played, J. Laev came in from the right with the intention of giving Feds the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. They were singing the praises of R. Surnov 27 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Feds. R. Leuchi increased the lead for Feds to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Feds lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Feds, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

Coming from the right, R. Leuchi almost managed to score another goal for Feds, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. A. Sárhidai hit the ball perfectly after 80 minutes to score for Feds with a fabulous long shot. 3 - 0. F. Ericeira could've grabbed a goal for Pedini 81 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. What was P. Borges thinking? That's what everyone wondered when, for no apparent reason, he shot a cross pass over his own penalty area, giving L. Žunić an extra chance, but unfortunately for Feds, he didn't get the shot right. The referee showed Pedini's M. Parreira the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Feds were forced into a substitution as L. Žunić couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing Y. Tuerk to come in off the bench. With 89 minutes played, Feds put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to L. Santin, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Feds claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Feds's top performer was clearly R. Surnov. L. Santin was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Pedini player was without a doubt L. Pongor. On the other hand, A. Ferreira's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 0.
