Azes 2 - 2 Torpedo (370765320)

18477 spectators arrived at Estádio do Norte, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Andrew Wardlaw was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Yannick Castagne and Nathanael Boos. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Azes. Lineup: López Romero - Nesensohn, Redavid, Broekhof - Orszewski, Fecri, Andriescu, Böcklin, Mafra - Romand, Sparamonti.

Torpedo had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Lacasa - Oncioiu, Ripollés, Natali - Weßel, Wemekamp, Karlsen, Sinioja, Laidet - Lundquist, Bircsák.

Some great play up the middle by Azes led to a chance for R. Romand to score after 13 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Orszewski from Azes a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 24 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 25 minutes, Torpedo put themselves up 0 - 1, as T. Lundquist finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. Torpedo had to make a substitution after 32 minutes. N. Bircsák limped off the field and was replaced by R. Tzilker. V. Andriescu made a superb strike after 33 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Azes, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 51 minutes played, O. Broekhof of Azes made the score 1 - 1. Torpedo's I. Wemekamp managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 59 minutes. 1 - 2. M. Ripollés of Torpedo was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 66 minutes, M. Orszewski made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 2 - 2. Azes had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Azes's best player was S. Fecri. V. Andriescu turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Torpedo player was without a doubt T. Lundquist. R. Tzilker on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 2.
