Amezquita from Coimbra a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 28 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Cheers filled the stadium as O. Kozar broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to zugluu. After this, you could see that the players of zugluu were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to zugluu, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 48 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but I. Cabanillas got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. zugluu managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when P. Muñoz cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. zugluu nearly produced a goal as S. Massano set up R. Silva Ribeiro for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide. zugluu's D. Navais increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 72 minutes. Coimbra fought on and, after 78 minutes, O. Walter-Offenbach was able to reduce the deficit to 5 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Unsportsmanlike behaviour by J. Amezquita rendered him his second booking of the match, and Coimbra had to finish the game with a reduced squad. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by zugluu, with 73 percent of the ball.
