Clouds darkened the skies at Lusibéria FC Arena as 7669 spectators turned up for the match. Sousa had a good opportunity to give chicolande the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. F. Santos Dores dispatched a majestic long shot 38 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. A. Palmeiro of chicolande was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. C. Rodrigues of Lusibéria seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by F. Neves. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. chicolande enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.

A lot of people in the terraces claimed the penalty resulting in chicolande's R. de Sousa equaliser for 1 - 1 was a mistake by the referee. He did, however, have a very good view of the situation from his position. A. Palmeiro came close to putting the visiting team one up 54 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but A. Martins managed to tip the ball to a corner. The guests took the lead 57 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in I.
