Clouds darkened the skies at Creixo Arena as 12000 spectators turned up for the match. Xavi Carbonell was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Freddie Evans and Tommy Leimsiede. The players of Woodstock now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 30 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Machado a chance to increase the lead for Woodstock, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. It was obvious that team Woodstock had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Creixo's M. Cruz got himself booked for a foul. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Woodstock enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.

C. Machado received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 56 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Woodstock fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. That made three goals for C. Machado and he was marked down for the hat trick. Creixo's V. Odemira was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 63 minutes. The visitors' D. Gamble took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 68 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Woodstock. M. Chichikov of Woodstock took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 78 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 6. After 79 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for D. Gamble who increased Woodstock's lead to 0 - 7. Creixo will have to do without U. Vicente Ferreira for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 81 minute mark. He was substituted by N. Quintino. With 82 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed F. Costa Medeiros of Woodstock to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 8. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Woodstock, with 80 percent of the ball.

Creixo's top performer was clearly N. Quintino. However, S. Quaresma made a disastrous appearance. Most important Woodstock player was P. Dias. F. Soares Araújo turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
