Clear skies welcomed the 7000 spectators who had made their way to Tasmania Bowl. Moreno Naftziger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nicola Haye and Silas Acton. Tasmania had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Starters: Sanderson - Payne, Marsden, Richards, Brabham - Harvey, Chaudhury, Partington, Chung-Faye - Parker, Taylor.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Yer_KiLt. They fielded: Zordan - Penny, Mitroi, Elliott - Boulter, Zena, Kolchofer, Azuri - 堀川 (Horikawa), Rossi, Hons.

Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 18 minutes into the match, and A. Rossi wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. The visitors' B. Mitroi took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 20 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Yer_KiLt. 36 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as 拓. 堀川 (Horikawa) finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. I. Hons of Yer_KiLt took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 40 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4. By now, the players in Yer_KiLt felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Yer_KiLt, with 73 percent of the ball.

After 52 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave I. Hons a chance to increase the lead for Yer_KiLt, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 5. The referee showed Tasmania's S. Taylor the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Yer_KiLt were forced into a substitution as D. Azuri couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing A. Thursfield to come in off the bench. The home crowd cheered when, after 56 minutes, I. Hons's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. A drive down the left side allowed I. Hons to get in close and score another goal for Yer_KiLt after 65 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 6. By then I. Hons had scored three goals - a hat trick! 68 minutes into the match, R. Elliott came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. A penalty was awarded after 78 minutes, and K. Kolchofer made the most of his chance to put Yer_KiLt up by another goal. 0 - 7 for the visitors. Yer_KiLt had most of the ball, with 71 percent of possession.

H. Chung-Faye performed admirably for Tasmania. R. Sanderson turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Yer_KiLt player was A. Rossi. A. Thursfield was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
