8973 punters turned up at
AllGood Zone, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Mathieu Hernandez was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Rene Prühn and
Alexander Borgér.
Dokie tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
They fielded: Özhakan - Haycock, Mack, Melki, Stoltenberg - Hacohen, Dědič, Caridei, Nayak, Fabrinsky - Pinkus.
LiverPokemon decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Lineup: Kouzuki - Wilkie, Vatuvei, Jemahl, Koyama - Nissen, Stokes, Easton, Downer - Little, Hay.
Dokie used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
Dokie broke through on the left 7 minutes into the game, with
A. Hacohen firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead.
With 29 minutes played, Dokie put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
J. Caridei, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
30 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
A. Nayak broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Dokie.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Dokie's
A. Nayak increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Dokie lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
M. Haycock received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 33 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
It was obvious that team Dokie had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
4 - 0 was the halftime score.
Dokie enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 69 percent of possession.
Dokie were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
J. Caridei could have increased the lead after 57 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
Dokie had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
M. Haycock should probably have put his team up another goal after 64 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
T. Kouzuki kept the visitors in the game.
LiverPokemon's
V. Little was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 72 minutes.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Dokie to 5 - 0 as
D. Fabrinsky finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
The score became 6 - 0 at 81 minutes into the game, when Dokie were given a penalty which
N. Pinkus blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance!
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Dokie, with 71 percent of the ball.
Dokie's top performer was clearly
N. Pinkus.
On the other hand,
T. Özhakan's play was disheartening.
The most dominating LiverPokemon player was without a doubt
J. Easton.
Q. Nissen turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 6 - 0.
