Clear skies welcomed the 45786 spectators who had made their way to Doveland Arena. Kristoffer Vada was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Victoras Iacob and Thomas Weiss. Doveland started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Yasujiro - Isobe, Tokuoka, Terada - Fujishima, Iijima, Momotami, Cruz Couto, Kajahara - Hirano, Teshigahara.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for KashimaNC. Starters: Bollinger - Alvarado, Ukiyo, Naumovski - Tsutaya, Gheens, 村上 (Murakami), Macquart, Ekiguchi - Colding, Gamperl.

Down the middle came N. Gamperl, making a fantastic play that nearly had KashimaNC take the lead after 10 minutes, but T. Yasujiro preserved the tie. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Alvarado from KashimaNC a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 11 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Doveland made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left T. Hirano completely alone with keeper S. Bollinger, who made a spectacular block. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Y. Teshigahara, but the Doveland player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! With 39 minutes played, Doveland's R. Terada almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. It was 1 - 0 at the break. KashimaNC had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

N. Gamperl's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 48 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to T. Colding who knocked it in for KashimaNC. 1 - 1! The home keeper expected a move to the right, but N. Gamperl surprised him with a free kick aimed the other way 51 minutes into the match. 1 - 2 for KashimaNC. KashimaNC's M. Tsutaya was shown a yellow card after 54 minutes for slicing down an opponent. S. Naumovski left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 75 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Bago was the replacement. T. Hirano charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Doveland, but the shot went well wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the game KashimaNC managed a counterattack, but J. Gheens took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Doveland's T. Iijima had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 87 minutes having been played. T. Tamazaki was the replacement. S. Ukiyo increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 3. Confident in their lead, KashimaNC's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Possession in this half belonged to KashimaNC, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

T. Hirano performed admirably for Doveland. T. Tamazaki on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating KashimaNC player was without a doubt J. Gheens. M. Bago was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
