It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 12000 that came out to
ffeef Arena.
Michael Brown was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Barry van Reijmerdal and
Ellák Gyarmati.
ffeef tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Lineup: Baek - Song, Sobong, Kim, Kim - Park, Oh, Park, Lee - Ki, Jung.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Jeollabuk-do.
The following players had been chosen: Choi - Jung, Park, Kim, Baek - Kim, Ko, Won, Cho - Ji, Jang.
ffeef fans held their breath as
W. Park scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0!
The sun seemed to put
I. Kim in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as ffeef scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
Y. Song after 15 minutes.
ffeef's
Y. Song got himself booked for a foul.
Jeollabuk-do were forced into a substitution as
B. Kim couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
G. Park to come in off the bench.
The visitors replied 30 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 2 - 1, as
Y. Baek dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper.
With 35 minutes played,
Y. Baek of Jeollabuk-do fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Halftime score was 2 - 1.
Jeollabuk-do enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.
A great save by keeper
H. Choi after 74 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
K. Oh struck from the left with a real cannonball.
The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 75 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when
Y. Baek tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
S. Jung got himself booked. The manager of Jeollabuk-do was not happy.
The home crowd was dismayed when the referee called a penalty for Jeollabuk-do after 77 minutes.
S. Jung calmly took the shot and scored. The game was level at 2 - 2.
ffeef's
K. Oh was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 83 minutes.
The visiting
N. Park was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 84 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 2 - 3 was the score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Jeollabuk-do, with 65 percent of the ball.
ffeef's best player was
J. Jung.
However,
S. Sobong made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating Jeollabuk-do player was without a doubt
G. Park.
On the other hand,
J. Kim's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 3.
