previous 2/4 next 4/4  DaGg3r 5 - 2 Xyber9 (371586145)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 47478 that came out to DaGg3r Dome. Paul Meyers was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pierluigi Armellin and Javier Sola. Everyone was excited about the upcoming Selangor derby and the crowd was divided evenly. DaGg3r started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Dalbom - Denning Hansen, bin Md Jan, bin Ithnin - Caso, bin Saleh, bin Ribi, Yew Wen, Scieur - Hoylaerts, Bauer.

Xyber9 decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: bin Zailani - Siebelink, Skosana, Soto Tapia - bin Jampaka, Arguello, Silva, Talv, Sze - Talitavičius, Jonsson.

Today, Xyber9's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. With 3 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. A. bin Jampaka put the ball away for 0 - 1. After 4 minutes of play, O. Scieur equalised for DaGg3r after an elegant attack from the right. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why G. Denning Hansen found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. After 29 minutes of play, K. Hoylaerts gave the home team a 2 - 1 lead after an attack coming in from the right. H. Bauer should probably have put his team up another goal after 37 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by K. bin Zailani kept the visitors in the game. It was 2 - 1 at the break. DaGg3r enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. A. bin Ribi squirmed through their central defence after 55 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. 59 minutes into the game, Xyber9's attack got through on the right, but A. Jonsson couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. After 63 minutes, DaGg3r raised their score by one when O. Scieur's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by H. Bauer. 4 - 1. The players of DaGg3r now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of DaGg3r to 5 - 1 as M. bin Ithnin finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Ater 80 minutes V. Talitavičius seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Xyber9 making it 5 - 2. DaGg3r had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

The most dominating DaGg3r player was without a doubt S. bin Saleh. P. Dalbom was a disappointment, however. A. Arguello performed admirably for Xyber9. On the other hand, A. Silva's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 2.
