Clouds darkened the skies at im. J.Gmocha i Bożydara Ivanowa as 39628 spectators turned up for the match. Johan Bokborn was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Michael Zengerle and Sicco Nap. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Kosiorowo. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Ligas from Kosiorowo a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 33 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 34 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and P. Golec gave the Kosiorowo supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. The home crowd was silenced as L. Kangaskolkka took a successful penalty shot 36 minutes into the game, reducing the home lead to 2 - 1. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Kosiorowo had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

With 72 minutes played, E. Vişoiu could have brought this one home for Kosiorowo as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. Sabres's G. Strool got himself booked for a foul. K. Bujak was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Kosiorowo's B. Puchniarz had to come off the bench. Cheers filled the stadium as R. Małopolski broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to Kosiorowo. Kosiorowo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

Kosiorowo's top performer was clearly D. Maris. However, M. Tudek made a disastrous appearance. Most important Sabres player was D. Mocanu. On the other hand, P. Bradley's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 1.
