Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Estádio Rybnik saw a crowd turnout of 12000. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Rybnicka, with 63 percent of the ball.

A mistake by the home side's central defence after 57 minutes allowed S. Atzamidakis to score for Sądowa. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 65 minutes, Sądowa tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. K. Feuchtner of Rybnicka was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
